Banana OG x Mendobreath f2
My love for Banana cultivars runs deep, so deep. It’s a something that I usually can’t walk out of most dispensaries without grabbing. I find the high a perfect chop off for pain relief without the nagging effect of drowsiness. Not to mention that the subtle tones of most the cultivars are truly fine flavors that true connoisseurs can appreciate.
Mendobreath is one of very few cultivars that I have found that I really just never get tired of smoking. It’s no wonder Thug Pug mainlined crosses of the cultivar with such amazing results that it has me looking for more. Just let on bag appeal alone, one would think that it had to be something special. I’ve found it to be a reliable heavy hitter from different flower farms, averaging around 20% in THC with some real potent gems out there.
As of late, Thug Pug continues to dominate and has an understandable cult-like following amongst indoor growers. I loved working with this one so much, I ended up purchasing the Sherb Breath for a future hunt.
Grow Report:
Two phenotypes were displayed during the outdoor grow. Both leaned Indica and finished in nine weeks. Very minimal stretch during switch, which helps for indoor growers. One of the two phenotypes started to turn purple as the cold nights started to creep. The purple phenotype gave hints of pepper and poundcake. The other phenotype was more of a funky horchata, but in a not so great kind of taste. Large fan leaves needed to be plucked to keep humidity down. No problems with pests or disease. Thoroughly pleased with the Thug Pug Genetics work and would gladly add to the garden at every opportunity. I generally have had a difficult time not selecting multiple keepers from a single pack.
