I remember cruising on through Canna Cruz and picking up a top shelf eighth to smoke with some friends coming into town later that day. The bud tender let me know that it was tested at over 30% and it would be pretty heavy. Testing was still fairly uncommon at the time and the number 30% seemed ridiculous. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a new era.

The strain has made it waves through popular media and was even named in High Times Strongest Strains on Earth. She goes by Chiquita Banana and may not be the best for the faint of heart. To put simply, it was good enough for me to want in my own garden.

I’ve finally come across two cultivars containing Chiquita Banana genetics:

24K Banana | Utopia Farms

24K X Chiquita Banana

Bruce Bananner | Friend

Chiquita Banana X Bruce Banner

Both cultivars contain other favorites as well. 24K from Crockett Family Farms is a cross between Tangie and Kosher Kush. Bruce Banner from Darkhorse Genetics is a cross between Strawberry Diesel and OG Kush. I will be looking for these traits to be masked in my hunt for Chiquita Banana expressions in the quest to rebuild.
