Plum Crazy x Sour Diesel
Today we hear about Sour Diesel among the plethora of cultivars at the counter and it’s become part of the standard. It’s a staple that most shops carry and holds a place in the hearts of many. Sour D just so happened to be what one of my first guys grew. Just Sour D and nothing else. The plants were the between his two rows of orange trees. We jokingly nicknamed the plants Sunny D because of their spot. It’s a cultivar that I will never forget.
As of late Crockett Family Farms has been killing the game. Their cultivars have been dominating with the likes of Tangie, Strawberry Banana, Holy Grail OG, and the list goes on. I loved working with Sour Tangie for my Farmer’s Zest Project and have yet to be disappointed.
Grow Report:
Two phenotypes were displayed during the outdoor grow. Both leaned Indica, but one was bushier and had a denser flower formation. The scent of the two makes me think of sour jam. Oddly surprised by how well the cultivar name suits the plants. They finished quickly and within three days of one another. No problems with mold or pests. Held up well to the cold nights and foggy mornings.
